To request a particular feature, email support@utilitycode.com and be sure to include the following information:

  • Put feature request in the Subject line
  • Your name and serial number
  • Your platform and short information about the application / DLL where you are using Str Library
  • Any library settings (multithreaded, own allocator scheme, etc - it is best if you just send us a copy of your str_config.h file or, if using an MFC project, your stdafx.h)
  • A description of the feature you need. Please be verbose, and be sure to send us some sample code that contains the methods you would like to see implemented.

At our discretion, we may decide to implement this feature at no cost for you. In this case we will send you additional information on how the new methods / functionalities will behave, and the timeframe for a beta version of the new code.

Please do not request that we change the library; it is something we cannot do, because it affects existing users. We can only add functionality to it.

If you need help with your project but what you need is not really a commonly reusable Str Library feature, we can discuss a consulting engagement for that particular item. Additional information, qualifications, and sample rates are available upon request.
